Sarah brings strategic, financial and corporate governance skills from three decades of board and executive experience in notforprofits, Mmes and multinationals in Australia, France and the US. Since formation in 1929, beginning registration in MSW in 1930, and now with BASIC, the 'constitution' of the notforprofit corporation limited by guarantee is the Institute's Memorandum and Articles of Association. This policy establishes a set of policy principles to ensure the Institute and its members are aligned in valuing and exhibiting principles of fairness and equity, which precede to the provision of equal opportunities, rights and benefits to all men and women engaged within the architectural profession, and to eliminate gender based impacts on the participation and progression of women within the profession. By combining creative design with technical knowledge, architects create the physical environment in which people live, which in turn, influences quality of life. By raising design standards in our cities, urban areas, commercial and residential buildings, the profession as a whole as healthy as the Institute has a major role in shaping Australia's future.
