AF Victoria not only provides a Volunteer management Workshop but also provides a position description for diverse roles that volunteers perform in the football club to assist identify the type, and number, of people you need for your club to operate well. Are you a female football player looking for a club to play with this season? With the recent increase in female football participation, there are sufficient of teams and competitions across Victoria available to women of all ages to play our immense game. We have had a vast response to the fresh competition and it’s exciting that we will have an eight team league up and going in the beginning year, he said. The final three weeks our seniors have been very good, our training has been solid with good senior numbers and quality. Our aim is to get them into our culture and hopefully be competitive. We’re looking forward to hosting the day and evening and I’m sure it will be a success. An increasing number of young people, male and female, are choosing to be part of our great game as field, boundary or goal umpires. Our community leagues, which include over 38 umpiring groups in Victoria, are ready to yield coaching, training, education and accreditation by qualified, accredited umpires’ coaches. A number of leagues also run their own programs and accreditation. For those who enjoy running or want to learn about the game, boundary umpiring is ideal. It is hoped and anticipated that community Umpiring Groups in conjunction with the Leagues in which they umpire plan and coordinate a series of initiatives to aid highlight the important role in our immense game umpires play. James: It was a incredible experience and a appropriate lesson for a beginning year umpire to see what expectations are for an AF umpire. In former years the Umpiring is Everyone’s Business Round had been strongly supported across many community leagues with many definite examples of activities aimed at improving the match day environment and promote the role of umpiring. We again strongly foster all AF Victorian affiliated leagues to labor with their local umpires to embrace this Round to continue creating sure match day environments recognizing the importance of umpiring in our vast game. Originally, the Umpiring is Everyone’s Business Campaign was designed to further educate the football public about the important roles and responsibilities umpires have in the game of Australian Football. Importantly, the program aims to establish an alliance between schools and the respective state football bodies to thrive and support Australian Football in the classroom and on the sporting field. Dale is a passionate and energetic organizer for the coordination of school football within the district, and recognized the opportunity to grow female football participation in the area, especially on the back of Youth Girls teams participating for the Bacchus Marsh and Daley Football clubs. Dale is a key driver in local school football as healthy as its promotion in the local community. His values are closely linked to the way he coaches. We aim to ensure all participants have merriment and make new friends whilst developing many new skills as part of Australian football and have found this is best achieved by providing a quality environment where young players can sequentially flourish their skills through activities, games, match rules and conditions relative to their stage of learning and level of ability where children participate in activities which are apropos to the child’s physical, mental and emotional capabilities. Creating quality, welcoming environments and ensuring facilities are easy to access is a key driver of participation and involvement in clubs. AF Victoria is committed to assisting our leagues, clubs and schools in the development of quality, accessible facilities. Our initiatives are designed to support indigenous footballers where ever plausible from their first taste of football in the NAB Auskick Program, right through until they arrive senior competitions, whether that be at the elite or community level. All umpires were on our Development Squad last season and this experience will further assist their development towards umpiring EFL football in the future.
