When t he Deluxe Drycleaning plant was assembled in 2001, the ownership consulted with various environmental regulatory bodies, including the Victorian EPA, to ensure that our flagship plant conformed to, and exceeded, Ch e environmental regulations that governed the dry cleaning and laundry industry. All the arid cleaning machines are 5 Ch generation drytodry machines, with tall solvent recovery, meaning minimal waste and environmental impact. The waste product that results from dry cleaning contains all the impurities removed from clothing, traces of solvent, soaps and detergents, and is not suitable for disposal in routine rubbish bins. The waste produced from our operation is removed in a sealed drum about once a month by a licensed company who process the waste at a treatment plant and turn it into reusable solvent and other nonhazardous waste products. Our own high grade steel wire coat hangers are reusable and can be put back into circulation within the operation, other hangers are usually recycled. Waste water from the parched cleaning process is treated using a water purifier before it is ejected into the storm water system. In addition, a cooling pit for effluent water holds water that has been released at lofty temperatures from our steam boiler and washing machines allowing it to chilly to temperatures acceptable below EPA regulation earlier entering the storm water system. This automated equipment ensures that a consistent tall quality product is delivered, minimizing the need for repressing and eliminating the possibility of shine’. This new technology is coupled with the use of conventional steam presses to conclude gentle garments, or those that cannot conform to an automated machine. Our pressers have worked in the industry for almost 150 combined years, meaning all clothes are in good hands.
