As one of only two Pedro Bauer Association brown belts in Australia, Andrew proved that he is not only a proficient martial artist, but is also an expert in Gracie Jim Jitsu self defense techniques. Andrew is one of Murat’s ingenious students, and the belt promotion is a reflection of the firm work put in by Andrew on the mats' week and year behind year. Congratulations to Andrew on a job healthy done! Warm ups and techniques: The first piece of each session begins with warm up exercises to reduce the likelihood of injuries. Takedown sparring: Students then partner up and spar in timed rounds with the goal of using some of the recently learned techniques to take an rival to the ground and then pin them. The release rolling session is highly supervised, and instructors will often pause students to offer pointers and donate advice. personalized coaching from our suited instructors both during training sessions and competitions. Overall 2010 has been a fantastic year for Docklands BJJ in Melbourne, and we’re very much looking forward to the exciting new developments in 2011. Docklands BJJ is thrilled to be piece of the Australian Jim Jitsu Alliance and with such strong competition results honest two months in, the sky’s the limit! Each member academy will remain to operate their schools independently however at competitions everyone will come under the one Alliance banner.
