The Role of the Runway Producer presentation guides students through the world of runway show production and the specific responsibilities of a Runway Producer. Brooke went on to Intern at Develop PR, supporting the team with the PR campaign for the Caulfield Cup Carnival where she was responsible for media and celebrity liaison, photo shoots and event support. Throughout her time at the company she’s worked across each of the departments including fashion, lifestyle and events and is now responsible for the strategic development and delivery of public relations campaigns for some of the agency’s largest accounts including, David Jones and the L’Oral Melbourne Fashion Festival. The talk covers topics such as the various responsibilities of a label’s PR agent in preparing for a runway show, fashion journalism, media management, guest lists, seating plans and personal anecdotes on getting started in PR. From here Ryan has had the opportunity to divulge his work at exhibitions around Australia and in more recent years overseas. Simultaneous to his art career Ryan has worked in designing, creating, and installing major projects for multiple fashion festivals, first in 2005 with his first commission for Mercedes Australian Fashion Week. The talk covers such topics as set design, lighting design, stenographic process and personal anecdotes on getting started in the industry. Having worked on nearly every major fashion event in Australia, Mark offers a assets of knowledge in the fashion industry.
