Our Velo Electric & Folding store specialises in e-Bikes, pedalecs and folding bikes. That being said, many of our customers buy for recreational purposes and we’re only too happy to run through your options.With bike brands such as Jamis, Kona, Surly, Fuji, Brompton, Gazelle, eZee, Tern, Wallerang and Australia’s Apollo, ByK and Velectrix with accessories from Brooks, Ortlieb, Nutcase, Melon and Bell Helmets you’re getting the best possible value for money.We value our connection with you, and the wider community. Most of our customers learn about us through word of mouth or of course just by riding past the shop. We’re open extended hours – weekdays from 8am until 6:30pm and both Saturday and Sunday from 9am until 5pm. That way, you can drop your bike off before work and pick it up after work, or drop through on a weekend when you’re not working but we are. Our workshops are open 8am-6:30pm weekdays.
Book a time, then drop your bike off before work and pick it up on your way home. We’re conveniently located on the Capital City Trail. We’re also on the no 96 tram route (catch this from Bourke Street in the city). The most convenient bike servicing Melbourne has to offer.We run two workshops (one at our main shop Velo Cycles at 815 Nicholson Street Carlton North and the other 200m south at Velo Electric & Folding 753 Nicholson Street Carlton North). We have five or more mechanics servicing through the week and offer same-day servicing wherever possible. We also have a mechanic on duty on weekends for any last-minute replacements or adjustments, but services are performed during the week. With all jobs undertaken, we will step you through what is required. An experienced mechanic will undertake the work and then a second mechanic will quality-check what has been done before you receive an SMS that your bike is ready to pick up. On the occasions when your bike has a specialty part we endeavour to source that part as quickly as possible.Our Velo Electric & Folding workshop is an authorised service centre for Bosch, Shimano and Impulse systems. Outside of that, we can service the mechanical components of most e-Bikes, however there’s many electrical systems for which it can be difficult to source components. Give us a call if you have any queries or need clarification. We also have a motorised hoist for heavier e-Bikes, as well as cargo bikes and tandems. We can cut spokes to fit on site.Brands
