Design A Space found it's beginnings motivated by creativity and individuality. At the time Be had her own fashion label and found it solid to rely on buyers to take a risk with one off pieces and limited edition runs, instead choosing to order her more commercial styles. This frustration is one designer know healthy and so we hatched the idea of having a space that could change all the time, where designers could essentially have their own space, show off their more ingenious pieces and benefit great exposure. Established in 2006 and a beginning of its kind, Design A Space is a ingenious retail concept developed to promote and showcase the talents of self-reliant Australian designers in an artistic shopping environment. With designers rotating monthly, Design A Space supports over 100 local autonomous designers, providing an exciting blend of men’s, women’s and children’s fashion and accessories. Through renting a space, designers are given a retail platform to showcase their total range. The collections donate customers the opportunity to find an original segment they may never see again and a guarantee that each visit into our stores will not be the same as their last. The majority of our designers have been established for at minimum a scanty years over which time they have managed to flawless their creative techniques. Many of our designers choose to showcase limited edition pieces or trivial capsule ranges not available elsewhere. Whilst they may be stocked nationally and overseas they quiet choose to arrive on board with us as they gain from the retail price.

Design A Space focuses on providing the best retail platform for our autonomous Australian designers. The original freedom given to our designers always ensures a unique offering. We’re perpetual on the lookout for autonomous Australian designers to showcase in our stores.
